Police Sports Festival: Football, Volleyball, Badminton matches played

Srinagar: In the ongoing Sports Festival organized by Jammu and Kashmir Police in Ganderbal, Football, Volleyball and Badminton matches were played on the third day at Sainik School Manasbal and Government College of Physical Education premises.
In Football, three matches were played. The first match was played between FC Kangan and FC Arampora, which latter won by 7-5 on tie-breaker. In the second match of the day
FC Soccor Star beat FC Chekpora by 2-0 and in the last encounter of the day FC Lar down FC Rahima by 2-1.
In volleyball four matches were played between VB Nagbal Vs Pathan Warriors, VB College Guys Kachan Vs VB Club Pandach, VB Club Dreamland Vs VB Club Arch and Maqsood Club Khurhama Vs VB Club Kangan. These matches were won by Pathan Warriors (2-0), College Guys Kachan, VB Dreamland (2-0) and Maqsood Club (2-0) respectively.
The Quarter and Semi-final stages in Badminton Men-Singles segment were held in Government College of Physical Education, Ganderbal premises. The Badminton semi finals were played between M. Rafiq Vs Ibrahim Qureshi and M. Amin Vs Amir Bashir. M.Rafiq won the match in straight sets by 2-0 and Amir Bashir won the match by 2-1.
