School announces cash prize for winners

SRINAGAR: Students of Doon International School Srinagar Momina Manzoor has bagged gold medal in cadet girls division and his schoolmate Mason Fatima has won silver medal in Sub junior girls cadet group in Open International Taekwondo championship 2017 held at Olympic sports centre Macao, China in October.
In the championship 12 countries from all over world and more than 1500 athletes competed in various weight and age divisions.
Chairman DIS Srinagar, Showkat Hussian Khan and principal DIS Kavita Khullar termed it as an auspicious moment and the huge success does not only belong to DIS but to the entire Kashmir valley.
Khan announced a cash award of Rs 20000/= each along with school color to be awarded to talented and victorious Doonian.
He appreciated those untiring efforts of the parents and the coach of the school Umer Akbar he also added that he will likewise extend all possible support for the one who dreams, wishing the streak of victories continue in the coming years.
