On second day, Indo-Pak amries continue to trade fire in Uri

Srinagar: On second consecutive day, ceasefire violations continue along Line of Control (LoC) in Kamalkot sector of Uri are in the northern district of Baramulla. The firing that started on the morning of Saturday resumed today morning, local sources said.

Pakistani Rangers are firing mortar shells and LMG fire on the posts, Showkat Ahmad Khan, in charge police officer of Kamalkote sector said.

As per the local sources, the civilian areas including Madya, Kheta and Saki are also affected by the shelling.

On Saturday, a porter working with Indian army was killed while two women were injured in the cross-border firing in Kamalkot sector. The two women were immediately referred to the hospital.

However, no loss of life was reported while this report was being filed.
