Porter killed in Pak firing along LoC in Uri: Army

Srinagar: An army porter was killed after Pakistani forces resorted to “unprovoked” firing along LoC in Uri sector of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, army said on Saturday.
“One porter Abbas, (22), resident of Kamalkot (Baramulla) employed with Army in Uri Sector lost his life in an unprovoked firing at around 1130 hrs today by Pakistan, army spokesman Col RK Panday told Kashmir Reader.
He said that the soldiers manning the fence strongly retaliated the shelling.
According to sources a girl identified as Nasreena, was also injured in the cross border firing.
