Srinagar youth dies in Pampore road mishap

Pampore: A youth from Srinagar died after a tipper he was travelling in turned turtle in Pampore area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district late on Saturday evening.

The accident happened when the driver of the Tipper bearing registration number JK04B-1155 with one person onboard turned turtle Saturday at 10 pm near Patrol Pump Saboora, resulting in death of Basit Farooq, son of Farooq Ahmad Najar, resident of Alochibagh Batamaloo, Srinagar.

The deceased was 20-year-old and a 1st year student of degree college Bemina, police officials told Kashmir Reader.

They said that the police party has reached the spot and shifted the body SDH Pampore.

Police have registered a case in this regard.

Meanwhile, DC Pulwama G M Dar and other officials reached the Pampore hospital.

Sources said that the family of the youth has refused to conduct post-mortem of their son and the body has been handed over to them for final rites.
