Woman working in orchard attacked in Shopian

Shopian: First braid-chopping attempt was reported in Darazpora village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Locals from Darazpora told Kashmir Reader that Sara Banoo wife of Ghulam Muhammad Gaine of Darazpora who was working in her orchard at SIDCO area was attacked by two unidentified persons and tried to chop her hair.
They said that the two criminals who tried to cut hair of woman had worn long black coats. “She (Sara) cried and tractor drivers rushed to the spot that forced the criminals to leave the spot. In the meantime, about 10 troopers were seen passing nearby,” they said.
Sara fainted with the spray she was attacked with. Locals said that they tore her clothes and injured her arm.
Local religious and social bodies advised people to remain vigilant towards the criminals.
