HIRPORA (Shopian): Officials of VINDHYA Telelink Limited (VTL), a telecommunication company which provides the network to all telecom companies in Jammu and Kashmir, alleges that their fibre cable was damaged at 20 places in Hirpora and Pir-ki-Gali areas of Shopian. The company officials demand action regarding the damage to company property.
Managing director VTL, Arvinder Pal Singh, alleged that some miscreants cut their fibre cable at 20 places, which is not only a huge financial loss also puts a halt in telecom services in the region.
Singh said that the cable come to valley through Pir Panjal mountain range along the Mughal road. “We have underground wires but they have cut the wires near bridges where the road construction is going on,” Singh added.
Senior superintendent of Police Shopian, S A Dinkar, said, “I have forwarded a message to the company officials to meet me and the matter will be resolved soon.”
