KU Students hold anti-NIA protest for summoning scholar

Srinagar: Kashmir University Students Tuesday held protests against National Investigation Agency (NIA) for summoning and interrogating a varsity scholar Aala Fazili.
Fazli was questioned in the NIA headquarters on Monday in alleged funding case registered on May 30 this year.
The protesting students holding placards reading “we stand by Aala” and “we want justice” marched through many departments raising slogans against NIA and India, witnesses said.
A research scholar of Pharmacy department of Kashmir University, Aala was summoned by NIA Friday last.
The protesting students marched upto the Vice Chancellor’s secretariat to register their protest, witnesses said.
