Bandipora: A pal of gloom spread in upper reaches of Tagath village on Monday in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, after a 2-year old girl was charred to death in a fire incident.
A police official said the fire broke out from a cowshed which later engulfed the part of the upper story of adjacent house, where the 2-year-old Safeena was in deep sleep’. In the incident another boy was also injured in the incident and was admitted to sub-district hospital Bandipora.
“The houses are usually made of wood in these villages. This is the reason the uncontrolled flames didn’t allow people to enter it to rescue the little girl,” locals of the area said.
