SRINAGAR: A free medical camp was organized by Sharp Sight group – a chain of eye specialist hospitals having branches in more than five countries, for media persons on Wednesday at their Srinagar branch inside Florence Hospital in Chanpora area of Srinagar.
A good number of media persons paid visit to the hospital and had an eye check-up done by renowned eye-specialists many of whom had come from outside the state.
Centre Manager, Tanveer Ahmad Mir, says that since media persons, especially reporters and photojournalists have to travel a lot due to which their eyes come in contact with different kinds of pollutants that can be harmful for their eyesight, we organized this camp for their convenience due to time constraints.
“As the media persons hardly get time to consult an eye-specialist and remain too busy with their daily happenings, we here thought to organize a camp for the general check-up of media persons,” Mir said.
He said in future their centre would more free medical camps for media persons. “We have brought international infrastructure to the doorsteps of Kashmiris,” Mir said.
