11th Prof Yousuf Memorial Cricket Cup: ICSC Alumni enter final

SRINAGAR: Islamia College Alumni Cricket team had a record run chase of the tournament to enter the finals of the 11th Prof Yousuf Memorial Inter College Cricket Cup.
In the first semifinal GDC Ganderbal captain won the toss and decided to bat first. They scored a mammoth 241 runs in allotted 30 over’s for 5 wickets.
Danish’s played a blistering 108 off just 70 balls. Owais Shah took 2, Shahid, Yawar and Mushtaq took one wicket each for Alumni team.
Chasing a mammoth target of 242 Alumni team overhauled the target with the loss of 8 wickets in the last over with just 3 balls to spare. Umar Nisar was the main scorer with 86 not out in 66 balls and Raees Mir contributed with 30 ball 47.
For Ganderbal team Basit was the pick of bowlers claiming three wickets and Danish also bagged two wickets.
The second semifinal of the tournament will be played between the hosts Islamia College and A S College Srinagar on Thursday. The tournament is organised by the department of Physical Education Islamia College Srinagar.
