Preparedness for ‘Salam Kargil’ event revieved

KARGIl: Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council Haji Inayat Ali took review meeting of the event ‘Salam Kargil’ at tourist facilitation Centre Kargil (TFC). During the meeting Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC Kargil, Kachoo Ahmed Ali Khan and executive councilor for tourism Tenzin Sonam were also present.
The meeting was attended by the several district officers and President of All Kargil Travel Trade Association. However, the event Salam Kargil was proposed to be held 19-20th September but due to commencement of holy month of Muharram the event is now scheduled to be held in the second week of November 2017.
Meanwhile Haji Anayat Ali directed the district officers to ensure full support to the event to make it a success in the history of Ladakh. He said that such an event is going to be held for first time in the history of Ladakh, in which prominent artists of the country including Nizami brothers will be performing and Ankit Chaddha, the renowned Dastangoi will present a program on Dastangoi. Many artists of J&K state and the country are also likely to take part in the event.
The Chairman also directed the organizers to give the event a wider publicity at local, state, national and international level to attract large number of tourist from across India and abroad.
