BARAMULLA: Scores of candidates who have submitted their application forms for various class IV posts in Baramulla district in 2006 staged a protest on Monday against the district administration Baramulla for delaying recruitment process. The candidates traveled to Srinagar to hold protests at press enclave on Residency Road.
According to the candidates, the district administration Baramulla invited application forms for various class IV vacancies under advertisement number 04/DDC of 2006. However, despite passing of 11 long years, authorities are yet not complete the selection process.
Sajad Ahmad, a candidate said that district administration made them submit fresh IXth pass certificates in 2013 and assured that posts will be filled within days but 11 long years passed the candidates’ wait has not ended. He said the maximum candidates who applied for these posts also crossed the age bar.
The protesting candidates with posters and banners and chanting slogans later staged a sit-in on the road near the press colony. They threatened to go on hunger strike if the list was not framed within ten days.
