Students clash with forces in Shopian

Shopian: Students of government degree college here on Saturday clashed with Special Operation Group men from Gagren camp. Students threw rocks on the bunkers at the SOG camp.
In retaliation, policemen fired tear smoke shells. Eyewitnesses told Kashmir Reader that forces later entered the college premises and chased students into class rooms.
Students were seen raising pro-freedom, anti-India, pro-Pakistan, slogans. Students also shouted slogans in support of militants.
College sources said that government forces fired several tear smoke shells inside the premises which created panic among the student.
Senior superintendent of police, S A Dinkar, said, “Some miscreants instigated the students to protest, there was minor stone pelting which was contained by the police and later on miscreants dispersed.”
He refuted the claims that policeman entered the college premises.
