Srinagar: Restrictions have been imposed in downtown areas of Srinagar on Friday to prevent protests against the ongoing atrocities on Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.
The protest call is given by Muttahida Majlis-e-Ulema (MMU), headed by Hurriyat (M) chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, who was house arrested on Thursday.
The restrictions have been imposed especially around the Jamia masjid area and other areas coming under five police stations, sources said.
