Srinagar: Students of Government Higher Secondary School, Shopian on Thursday clashed with forces after they protested against the plight of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.
Sources said that the students of Hr. Sec School Shopian in south Kashmir took out a protest march upto the government Degree College and soon after they returned they were intercepted by police near Gagren.
The protesting students raising slogans pelted stones on a police vehicle and the cops fired many tear smoke shells to disperse them.
Police sources told Kashmir Reader that the protesting students were chased away and normalcy has been restored in the area.
