Srinagar: National Investigation Agency on Thursday raided the residence of Hurriyat conference (G) leader Agha Syed Hassan’s residence in central Kashmir’s Budgam.
Sources said that a team of NIA alongwith a contingent of police and other forces raided the residence of Agha Hassan and started searches.
The NIA raid on Agha’s residence followed the announcement of resistance leaders to court arrest at NIA headquarters in New Delhi on September 9.
NIA is investigating a case of alleged funding in Kashmir registered on May 30.
Seven pro-freedom leaders, a businessman and two youth including a photojournalist have already been arrested by the Indian investigation agency in connection of the case.
Another Hurriyat leader and a businessman have been arrested by Enforcement Directorate (ED). Eight of the arrested persons are languishing in Tihar jail, Delhi while as four are in NIA and ED custody.
