Kashmiris protest killing of Rohingya Muslims

TRAL: Hundreds of people protested in Tral town area of Pulwama district against the killing of thousands of Muslims in Myanmar.

Situated in south of Srinagar at a distance of more than 40 KMs from summer capital of J&K, people held intense anti-Myanmar sloganeering seeking justice for Muslims brothers who are facing persecution at the hands of Myanmar military in its Rakhine state.

Thousands of Muslims, who are ethnically Rohingya, fled Myanmar – formerly Burma – towards Bangladesh for safety.

The protest rally was organised by ‘Citizens Counsel’ Tral today after Namaz Zuhar (mid-day prayers).

The protestors also raised slogans in favour of Turkish government which has announced unflinched support to the persecuted minority of Myanmar.

The protest rally started from Khankahi Faiz Panah to Bus stand Tral. Scores of people including children’s and elders participates in the protest rally.

The protesters shouted slogans to stop killing of Rohingya Muslims. They also held placards during the protest.
