Srinagar: Senior resistance leader and Muslim League (ML) chief Masarat Aalam was not brought to Srinagar court, said a spokesperson of the party.
The ML spokesperson on Thursday said that Masarat Aalam Bhat was scheduled to attend the court of third Munsif Srinagar on Wednesday. “It is the worst form of human rights violation,” the ML spokesperson said.
“Not presenting Masarat Aalam before the third Munsif Srinagar yesterday is a glaring example of political vendetta,” the spokesperson said.
“Masarat Aalam, who has been lodged in jail, has been deprived of medical treatment, which has exposed the conspiracy of the government against him.”
The ML spokesperson added, “They were expecting that the court will quash his detention, but the authorities hatched a conspiracy and didn’t present him before the court to prolong his detention.”
