Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference chairperson, Syed Ali Geelani, continues to remain under house detention at Hyderpora while as his deputy, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, has been detained at his Baghat residence for many months now.
Besides, top Hurriyat Conference (G) leaders remain detained in New Delhi after NIA arrested them last month.
Two vehicles along with cops from JKP and CRPF personnel are deployed outside Geelani’s residence while as people are stopped and questioned before they are allowed to enter his residence.
In Lal Chowk, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front chief, Mohammad Yasin Malik, was arrested from his office here and later shifted to central jail.
A JKLF spokesperson said that a contingent of police raided the office chambers of JKLF where from Malik and his associate was arrested.
Malik was lodged in central jail Srinagar.
