Protests in Ganderbal after army vehicle hits lady

Ganderbal: Protests broke out in central Kashmir’s Nagbal area of Ganderbal district after an army vehicle hit and injured a lady on Saturday.
Local sources said that Ameena Begam (60) W/O Abdul Khaliq Bhat of Gratbal Nagbal was hit by an army vehicle of 5RR at Gretbal, resulting her critical injuries.
The injured has been referred to SKIMS, Soura for treatment.
Soon after the incident locals took to streets and staged protests at Gretbal on Nagbal-Batporal road.
“We demand arrest of driver of the vehicle and action against him,” a protester said.
When contacted Adil Bashir SHO Nagbal told Kashmir Reader that the injured lady is stable and they are on job to pacify the protesters who with their grievance have approached Nagbal police station.
