Former executive engineer in Vigilance net

Srinagar: Vigilance Organization Kashmir (VOK) has registered a case under Prevention of Corruption Act on outcome of verification into the allegations that PHE Rural Mechanical Division Srinagar, Budgam and Ganderbal had purchased 13 No. of trivectro meters at an exorbitant rate.
The investigation by VOK concluded that the erstwhile Executive Engineer PHE Rural Mechanical Division Srinagar, Budgam and Ganderbal Farooq Ahmad Utoo S/o Mohammad Maqbool Utoo R/o Shah-Anwar colony Hyderpora Lane H-C (now retired) in connivance with the then AEE PHE Rural Mechanical Division Srinagar, Budgam and Ganderbal Jasbeer Singh son of Aya Singh of Shaheed Gung Srinagar and the then PHE Rural Mechanical Division Srinagar, Budgam and Ganderbal namely Mohammad Yousuf Indrabi son of Naj-um-din Indrabi of Parray Pora Srinagar had purchased 13 No. of trivectro meters at an exorbitant rates in the year 2012-13 for Rs. 28, 35,700/- and thus caused loss to the state exchequer to the tune of Rs. 15,61,700/- and wrongful gain to the beneficiary suppliers 1. M/S Bashir Brother Maisuma Srinagar 2. M/S Srinagar Mechanical Works College Road, Wazirbagh, Srinagar
Accordingly a Case FIR No. 23/207 under section 5(1)(d) r/w 5(2) J&K P.C. Act, Svt., 2006 and section 120-B RPC in Police Station Vigilance Organization Kashmir was registered against Farooq Ahmad Utoo, Jasbeer Singh, Mohammad Yousuf Indrabi, M/S Bashir Brother Maisuma Srinagar, M/S Srinagar Mechanical Works College Road, Wazirbagh.
