Militant hideout busted in Ganderbal district: Police

Ganderbal: Government forces busted a militant hideout and recovered some arms and ammunition at Chaknar Akhal in Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal District, police said on Monday.
Police said that a contingent of SOG of JK police, personnel of Army’s 24RR along with some policemen of local police station Kangan launched searches in Checknar Akhal locality and busted a hideout of militants.
They said that one AK-47 rifle, two magazines and 44 rounds were recovered from the hideout.
A DSP rank police officer at Kangan said that after receiving “special input” the recovery was made three hours of searches.
“The search operation has concluded successfully and forces have been called off,” DSP said.
