SRINAGAR: National Conference Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani on Saturday impressed upon Youth National Conference to educate people at grassroots about State’s special status particularly the Article 370 and 35 A.
Speaking at a meeting convened at party headquarters Nawa e Subha Srinagar, Nasir said involving youth in decision making process has been the cornerstone of party’s core policy. “NC would continue to involve young decision-makers in its efforts to protect State’s special status and its dignity. Invasive forces that are obviously corroding the basic fabric of our existence should be fought tooth and nail,” he said.
Wani asked youth leaders to counter the “dangerous propaganda machinery” by PDP BJP coalition government and ensure that correct information on State’s critical issues reaches out to youth.
The meeting was also addressed by YNC Provincial President Salman Ali Sagar who spoke at length on party activities and its outreach among youth. Giving details about YNC initiatives and programmes in recent past, Salman assured NC Provincial President of YNCs commitment to party dictum and its programmes.
Among others who participated in the meeting included senior vice president Mohammad Syed Akhoon, vice president Mushtaq Guroo, provincial spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar, minority cell convener Azad Singh, YNC office bearers Mudassir Shahmiri, Adv Jahangir Wani, Ahsan Pardesi and party office bearers.
