SRINAGAR: Militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba has rejected the “fake sympathies” of prime minister of India Narendra Modi with Kashmiris and termed it “an act of hypocrisy”.
“It is a long followed tradition by Chanakyaee (Chanakyan) puppets as a saying goes, ‘Malice concealed behind sweet talk’,” the outfit chief Mehmood Shah said in a statement issued to a local news agency CNS.
“If Modi is concerned about Kashmir issue then why (are) youth of Kashmir being martyred on daily basis, why each passing day leaves behind tales of sorrow and grievance, why graveyards of Kashmir are being populated with people who once cherished the freedom, why Kashmiris are being put behind bars under the fake laws including PSA?,” the agency quoted Shah as saying.
He said Modi’s narrative is denied by ground realities as “minorities are being tortured to death, Muslims selectively targeted, (and) freedom of religion is scarce in occupied Kashmir. It is the same ill-fated sick agenda upon which Modi was appointed as (the) Indian Prime Minister”.
“If Modi is concerned about the solution to Kashmir dispute, he must vacate Kashmir of Indian forces and implement UN resolutions without any kind of rigging. The UN resolutions have been signed with written consent of both the stakeholders – Pakistan and India,” he said.
Mahmood Shah appreciated and congratulated Kashmiris for “observing August 15 as Black Day”.
