SRINAGAR: Chairman Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik was released from central jail Srinagar on bail, a party spokesperson said on Wednesday.
In a statement, the spokesperson said Malik along with JKLF zonal organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri were arrested from Chadoora on 14th August when they were on way to participate in funeral prayers of slain militant Muhammad Yasin Yatoo alias Mehmood Ghaznavi.
He said a party delegation visited Chadoora and paid homage to Yatoo. “Nation of Kashmir is indebted to great martyrs like Muhammad Yasin Yatoo @ Mehmood Gaznavi who sacrificed their lives for our better tomorrow. No one can ever forget these great sons of soil,” JKLF senior leader Zahoor Ahmad Butt while addressing a condolence meeting at Nagam, Chadoora said. The delegation expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
Meanwhile, party also expressed grief over demise of two resistance leaders Haji Muhammad Shaban Mir of Brath Zainageer and Ali Muhammad Butt of Watergam, Rafiabad who were “close associates of Shaheed Maqbool Butt”.
