Youth hit by pellets in Kakapora succumbs at SMHS

PULWAMA: A youth was killed late Sunday evening after hit by pellets by government forces during clashes at Kakapora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
24-year-old Owais Ahmad Dar, son of Mohammad Shafi, resident of Kakapora sustained pellet injuries in his chest.
As per reports, youth attacked CRPF vehicles passing by the area and in retaliation forces fired automatic weapons and resorted to pellet and teargas shelling.
The injured youth was rushed to PHC Kakapora in critical condition. Doctor at hospital told Kashmir Reader that Owais was hit by pellets in his chest. He was referred to SMHS hospital, Srinagar, in very critical condition where he succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, heavy clashes were continuing in Kakapora area when this report was filed.
