“We are here and search operations are going on. It might take a bit longer than expected. The operation might be stretched deep into the night,” the official said.
While there were reports that Zakir Musa, the estranged Hizb commander who now heads an Al-Qaeda offshoot in Kashmir, might be trapped in the area.
“He is believed to be trapped along with two other militants,” a source told Kashmir Reader.
Police, however, declined to comment on the identity of the militants.
