Pulwama parts shut to mourn Tral killings

Pulwama: A complete shutdown is being observed in parts of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district Thursday to mourn the killing of three militants and a civilian at the hands of government forces at Gulab Bagh village of Tral on Wednesday.
All shops and business establishments, schools and colleges remained closed.
Three militants Zahid Ahmad Bhat of Nowdal Tral, Mohammad Ishaq Bhat of Batagund Tral and Mohammad Ashraf Dar of Baghi Trich Pulwama were killed in an encounter with government forces at Gulabbagh area of Tral.
A 16 years old boy Mohammad Younis Sheikh of Saimoh Tral was also killed in government force’s action.
Witnesses told Kashmir Reader that Tral, Awantipora, Pulwama and its adjoining areas remained completely shut.
Meanwhile, people from various areas thronged the homes of slain militants and the civilian to express solidarity with their families.
