Pro-freedom graffitis on school wall in Pahalgam annoy Army men

Srinagar: Seeing pro-freedom graffitis on a school wall Army personnel in a Pahalgam village on Monday wanted students and teachers to sing ‘Jana Gana Mana’ and ‘Vande Mataram’.
The teachers alleged that army personnel not only manhandled them but the students as well.
The incident happened in Yanner village of Pahalgam in Anantnag district.
Local sources told Kashmir Reader that army personnel kicked and thrashed many teachers and students of the middle school after seeing pro-freedom graffitis on the school wall.
Alleging harassment of teachers and students at the hands of Army personnel, local sources said that the incident has created fear in the area.
Despite many attempts army spokesman could not be contacted.
Meanwhile, parents of the students staged a protest against the Army in the school premises which was also attended by local MLA Altaf Kaloo. While talking to Kashmir Reader Kaloo strongly condemned the Army act and demanded an FIR against the involved soldiers.
