Srinagar: Clashes between protesters and government forces erupted at Tahab and Haal villages of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district after Friday prayers, sources said.
Witnesses told Kashmir Reader that soon after the congregational prayers ended, scores of youth took to streets at Tahab and Haal villages and staged pro-freedom protests.
They also pelted stones on government forces as they tried to stop their march, witnesses said.
Forces used teargas shells and fired some shots in air at Tahab village to disperse the protesters, they said.
