State Cricket Academy T20 Championship: Irshad stars in Tiger Sports’ win

SRINAGAR: Irshad Ahmad scored a brilliant 81 as Tiger Sports beat Arwani XI by 90 runs in Anantnag district fixture. Batting first, Tiger Sports made 169 for the loss of four wickets in the allotted 20 overs. In reply Arwani XI failed to put up a fight getting all-out for a nothing 79.
Irshad was declared man of the match for his match winning 81.
District Shopian fixture involved Shopian Rockers and Aharbal Kings which latter won quite comprehensively. Shopian Rockers put a score of 143 which was chased down by Aharbal Kings in just 18.4 overs.
Bandipora fixture saw Sonawari XI beat Hashmi Cricket Club by four wickets. Batting first, HCC posted a score of 167 for the loss of seven wickets and it took Sonawari XI just 15.4 overs to scale down the target losing only six wickets.
In North Kashmir’s Baramulla district, Khawajabagh XI beat National XI by a close margin of nine runs. Khawajabagh XI posted a score of 156 for the loss of nine wickets and then bowled well to restrict National XI to 147 for the loss of nine wickets.
For his 70 with the bat and a wicket, Shahnawaz was declared man of the match.

In Budgam, Sahara XI beat FCC by three wickets in a high scoring encounter. Batting first FCC posted a massive score of 183 for the loss of nine wickets, but Sahara XI were up to the task reaching the target in only 17.4 overs.
Mohammad Ibrahim was declared as man of the match for slamming a 15-ball 48.
