Pulwama: A complete shutdown is being observed in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday to mourn the death of two local militants.
Two militants Shabir Ahmad Mir son of Mohammad Ahsan of Mehand Bijbahara and Shariq Ahmad Sheikh son of Ali Mohammad of Gulzarpora Tikyna Awantipora were killed in a brief gunfight with government forces on Sunday at Tahab village of Pulwama district.
All shops business establishments are closed in Pulwama, Tral, Awantipora and its adjoining areas while as public transport was off the roads, witnesses told Kashmir Reader.
According locals some youths in the morning took to streets and pelted stones in Tral town.
