BARAMULLA: Students of Women’s College MA road on Saturday complained of out of syllabus question paper for Zoology in the B.Sc second semester examination.
Alleging that 90 percent of the paper was out of syllabus, the students said the Controller Examinations Kashmir University had drawn the question paper from previous syllabus.
“The paper was 90 percent out of syllabus, but Superintendent asked us to complete the paper and file a written complaint to examination controller Kashmir University,” Tawqeera Mehraj, a student said. “We brought the issue into the notice of examination controller.”
Another student Rozia Akhtar alleged that they contacted Kashmir University soon after the examinations but they did not respond.
“We worked hard and prepared our syllabus but it’s all wasted by the fault of the concerned people in university. We appeal to the examination controller to look into the issue as soon as possible,” Akhter said.
Zahoor Ahmad Wani, Assistant Controller Examinations Kashmir University said, “We received complaints from only two colleges, we don’t see it as a genuine issue so far. We received complaint from Women’s college MA road and Nawakadal Degree College.”
“Now we have to consult the experts who will look into the issue and see if they find any wrong in the paper. We will compensate the students accordingly,” he said.
