Baramulla: The government degree college in Pattan is headless for the past one month resulting in difficulties to the staff and students.
According to students of the college, the principal, Prof Wali Mohamed opted for voluntary retirement in May, and after the government accepted his retirement, the college is functioning without a head.
Wali Mohammad has since, joined as professor at Central University, a student, Sameer Ahmad said.
Staff members said that in the absence of the principal, the salary of the staff has not been released since, and the college was facing several problems as there was no one authorized to sign bills.
