SRINAGAR: Mohammad Lateef Bhat’s Universal Football Academy has proved to be a breeding nursery for the kids of age group of 6 year to u-18 players.
Bhat who has himself played football at Club said his aim is not only to provide platform to the young players but also lace with them with the basic skills of the game.
Bhat is also qualified D- licence coach and has also successfully complete Advance Grass root leader’s course directing his students, and sermonizing them with the importance of skill level, fitness and team spirit.
Having himself played football at Club level Bhat’s approach to coaching is simple; ‘help players identify their skill level and provide them with enough opportunities to translate talent into results.’
The young coach in his late 30’s claimed that his academy has so for produced many players which represent state in national level tournament in various age groups.
According to Bhat his football academy is affiliated with Jammu and Kashmir Football Association.
He claimed that the our academy used to provide free coaching to the players and only from 2016 we charge a minimal registration fee of Rs 200 for one year.
He also said that our Academy is thankful to the JKFA as they provide basic equipment’s to the players for practice.
He appealed to the business houses to come forward and sponsor these small academies.
