SRINAGAR: Describing the present era as a golden period of development and prosperity for the J&K State, Minister of State for Forest, Environment, Animal & Sheep Husbandry, Cooperative and Fisheries, Mir Zahoor Ahmad, on Sunday said that Pampore is being developed as a model constituency.
The minister said this while addressing a large public gathering in Srinagar.
Reiterating the government’s commitment to transform the socio-economic condition of the State’s people, Mir said basic amenities like road network, adequate drinking water and power supply, better educational and health facilities will be provided to people at their door steps.
The minister said the current dispensation at the helm is making all possible efforts for equitable and sustained development of all the three regions of the State.
Referring to the developmental scenario of the Pampore Constituency, Mir said that all-round development of all its areas has been given a focused attention during the last two and a half years. He said huge amounts of funds have been utilized on various developmental works under different sectors in the Constituency.
To tackle concerns of drinking water supply in the Constituency, the minister said construction and upgrading of various water supply schemes are apace.
The minister said Pampore is being developed as a model constituency, adding the infrastructure in the area is being strengthened so as to give a fillip to ongoing developmental activities.
On the occasion, several prominent citizens of the Constituency also addressed the gathering, appreciating the efforts of the government in development of Pampore.
