Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir police have seized four bags of Fukki in Sangam area of Anantnag district on Sunday.
Acting on a specific information regarding the transportation of fukki, a police party headed by Mohammad Ashraf (DO Sangam) under the supervision SSP Anantnag Altaf Ahmad Khan laid a Naka at Partu Sangam. During the Naka checking a Santro vehicle bearing registration No JK01H/9420 fled away from the naka point. The police team immediately swung into action and intercepted the vehicle at Baba Mohalla Bijbehara. Four bags of fukki were recovered from the car. The car and fukki was taken into police post Sangam. However, the driver gave police a slip. His identity was later ascertained and manhunt has been launched to nab him.
A case FIR number 104 /2017 under section 8/20 NDPS act was registered and further investigation has been taken up.
