Dropped candidate admitted to masters program after KR report

SRINAGAR: The department of History at the University of Kashmir has admitted a previously dropped candidate to Masters program, after Kashmir Reader reported that he had been dropped despite scoring higher than cutoff.
A notification issued by the university on Saturday announced the admission of Waseem Ahmed Parrey, a resident of Bijbehara Anantnag.
Waseem had earlier alleged that his name did not figure in the selection list of MA History program (supplementary shift) despite scoring more than the cutoff.
“The cut off in the entrance test was 16 and I had scored 18 points but still my name was not in the selection list,” said Waseem.
Despite taking the issue with the authorities and assured a seat in the next list after resolving some document issues, Waseem had been dropped again, and told that he cannot be accommodated.Dropped candidate admitted to masters program after KR report
