Srinagar: Amid strict restrictions in parts of Budgam district of central Kashmir, a shutdown is being observed on Saturday to mourn the killing of a youth at the hands of army personnel, sources said.
Authorities have imposed strict restrictions and sealed all entry and exit points of Beerwah to prevent protests against Tanveer’s killing.
Tanveer Ahmad Wani was killed after army soldiers opened fire in Beerwah town of the district yesterday.
Local sources said that all shops and other business establishments are closed in Beerwah, Khag and Aripanthan areas of the district.
