SRINAGAR: J&K Civil Secretariat Employees Coordination Committee has decided to hold an hour long protest on Friday to press for redress of their grievances.
“In case, the authorities prefer to continue their old stand there is no alternative but to carry forward the protest programme for an indefinite period,” a statement issued by committee to GNS said.
The committee decided to hold the protest after a meeting under the chairmanship of Ghulam Rasool Mir, which was also attended by President Lower Grade Employees Association Maqbool Hussain.
The statement said various issues raised by the employees committee were pending forcing them to hold the protest. These include detachment of attached staff, accommodation problem, and delay in constructions of residential quarters.
The statement added that un-warranted hike on eatables by JKTDC Canteen was not acceptable to the employees.
