Srinagar: Indian and Pakistan on Wednesday continued to target each other’s positions along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, reports said. The fresh cross LoC firing took place in Mendhar and Balakot sectors.
“The Indian forces were replying befittingly to the unprovoked and intense shelling by the Pakistani troops,” reports quoting defence sources said.
Earlier on Tuesday, an Army soldier was killed in J&K’s Nowgam sector after a sniper fire from Pakistan side hit him.
Pertinently, after every such incident along the LoC both India and Pakistan accuse each other of violating the ceasefire which is in place since 2003.
