Cloud burst hits Tral villages

SDM orders closure of schools in flood hit areas

TRAL: Cloudburst hit several villages in Tral triggering flash floods that damaged roads and houses.
One house was fully damaged and 10 were partialy damaged after flash floods caused by cloudburst hit Brinpathri Tral village.
Residents launched rescue operation and saved dozens of people including women and children.
Local sources said that property worth lakhs was damaged in Nagbal village of Tral after the cloudburst.
The flash flood water entered residential houses, mosques, Gurdawara in Nagbal and other villages, causing damage to the public property whereas many families had to be shifted to the safer places, witnesses told Kashmir Reader.
SDM Tral Riyaz Ahmad Malik told Kashmir Reader said the roads in the area, 25 residential houses a Masjid and Gurdawara were submerged in water.
The SDM has ordered the closure of all the schools in the flood hit areas on Wednesday including Chiniparen, Brenpathri, Nagbal, Kangloora and Machama.
