SRINAGAR: Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh Monday said that the government is committed to provide requisite support to industrial sector so that their activities get the requisite boost which would result in elevation of the economy of the state besides creating job opportunities to people.
According to an official press note issued here, the Deputy Chief Minister was interacting with the delegation of Federation of Industries (Jammu) led by its Chairman Rajesh Jain, Co-Chairman, Lalit Mahajan and Secretary General, Ajay Langar.
The delegation while projecting several demands highlighted the need of extending the Central package of incentives under the GST regime to the state besides waving off the surcharge for the closed units. They also demanded the installation of 50MVA transformer at Gangyal and extension of various industries related incentives.
Singh assured the delegation that the issues and demands highlighted by them would be addressed at an earliest. He said, “The government will do all that is necessary to catalyze the industrial scenario in the state, so that more industries come up and the economy of the State gets a flip.
