Baramulla: The body of the Pakistani militant who was killed by Indian forces in Tral on Saturday was buried in the graveyard used for non-local militants at Gantamulla in Baramulla along the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad road. Some locals and policemen buried the body on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday.
Soon after the news of the killing of three militants at Tral was confirmed by police, the police station Sheeri in Baramulla was informed and ordered to dig three graves. Policemen along with some locals dug the three graves and the police brought the body at about 3am. The two other graves dug are still lying open.
About a dozen people including some policemen participated in the funeral prayers of the slain militant. More than 40 non-local militants have been buried in this new graveyard since 2016.
