Srinagar: Anantnag town in the south Kashmir Saturday observed a complete shutdown to protest against what the business people call force’s highhandedness.
Many youth were arrested in the town yesterday after clashes erupted between protesters and forces.
Police sources however said that most of the arrested were released yesterday evening.
However locals alleged that forces resorted to vandalism during clashes resulting in the damage to their properties.
All shops and business establishments are closed while as public transport is off the roads, local sources said.
