Stranded pilgrims witness Kashmiri hospitality

PAMPORE: About 50 Amarnath pilgrims were witness to Kashmiri hospitality their bus travelling from Jammu to Baltal developed technical problem in Awantipora leaving the pilgrims stranded on the Srinagar-Jammu highway on Wednesday evening.
Local residents rushed to the spot and served eatables to pilgrims while they were waiting for the repairs.
As the repairs took a long time, the pilgrims were shifted to District Police Line Awantipora.
Witnesses said the pilgrims praised the hospitality of Kashmiris.
Police said that they provided dinner, breakfast and night shelter to pilgrims.
The pilgrims boarded the bus Thursday morning and resumed their journey towards the holy cave.
