Residents appeal for no commercial buildings in locality

SRINAGAR: The residents of Mohalla Khulfai Rashideen, Umar Colony (A) Lalbazar, Srinagar has appealed to authorities to deny permissions for commercial establishments in the area.
In an appeal made by Mohalla Committee and Baitl Maal of the locality headed by President Riyaz Ahmad Khan, the residents have requested Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Roads and Buildings Department, and LAWDA to not grant permission for any commercial building, like hotel, guest houses, school, shopping complex, nursing home, office or any other commercial establishments in the area.
“Our area is purely residential area as per Srinagar Master Plan. If any commercial permission has been granted in favour of any person from the area, kindly cancel the said permission with immediate effect,” the mohalla committee said.
