Unauthorised tour operated booked, two held

SRINAGAR: J&K Police Tourism Enforcement Wing has busted an unregistered Hajj/Umrah travel agency operating in Kashmir.
A police statement said that New Delhi based Indo Sahab tour and travel services was illegally operating in Kashmir, and inviting Hajj and Umrah booking through advertisements in local newspapers, while it had no quota allotted.
On a complaint, Tourist Police Station Srinagar arrested two men, Dawood Ahmad Azad, son of Humayoun Azad, of Kursoo Rajbagh and Mohammad Shabbar Khoja, son of Hassan Ali Khoja, of Dongri Mumbai, who were operating in Srinagar on behalf of Indo Sahab tour and travel services.
Police said, apart from some documents and passports, Rs 330,000, has been recovered from the agency.
Police has asked people to not fall prey to unauthorized tour operators.
