Kashmiri army driver dies from cardiac arrest in Tangmarg

BARAMULLA: A Kashmiri driver working for the army died due to cardiac arrest on Sunday morning in Tangmarg area of district Baramulla. The trooper was identified as Bashir Ahmad Ganie, 36, son of Mohammad Assadullah Gani of Boniyar Uri. He belonged to the 161 TA headquarter company. Officials said that an army convoy was on way to Tangmarg from Gulmarg and the deceased was driving a jeep when he fell unconscious. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he died.
Station house officer Tangmarg, Sadaqat Ali said that a case under Section 174 has been registered and police have started an investigation. Bashir was working as a driver with the Indian Army.
